Get back to eating, speaking and smiling comfortably

Losing teeth can make everyday things like biting into an apple, laughing in photos or speaking clearly feel harder. Dentures replace missing teeth with custom prosthetic teeth set in a gum-colored base, designed around the shape of your face and mouth.

Today’s options go beyond the traditional plate. At Buffalo Creek Dental, Dr. Barnes offers traditional removable dentures, dentures that snap onto a few implants, and fixed arches that stay in full time. He’ll explain the trade-offs of each, including comfort, cost and care, so you can choose with confidence.

Benefits of modern dentures

A fuller smile

and support for your lips and cheeks

Easier chewing

than with missing teeth, especially with implant support

Clearer speech

once you adapt

Options for every budget,

from traditional to implant-retained

Dr. Barnes often recommends at least two implants under a lower denture because it removes much of the movement patients dislike, but the right choice depends on your health, bone and budget.

Denture cost, insurance & financing

Cost depends on the type of denture, whether extractions are needed and whether implants are part of the plan. You’ll get a written estimate before treatment. Many PPO plans help pay for dentures, and we’ll file your claims. We accept cash, credit cards, CareCredit, Cherry payment plans and some in-house finance options. See Dental Insurance & Financing.

Why patients choose Buffalo Creek Dental for dentures

Treatment at Buffalo Creek Dental is provided by Jon Barnes, DDS, general dentist. Individual results vary; Dr. Barnes will recommend treatment only after an exam.

Denture FAQs

Most people need a few weeks to adjust to speaking and eating. Sore spots are common early on, and we’ll adjust the denture at follow-up visits.

A lower denture has less surface to grip and sits near the tongue. Two implants with snap attachments can greatly reduce movement for many patients.

We usually recommend taking removable dentures out at night so your gums can rest, and cleaning them daily.

Your mouth changes over time, so dentures may need relining or replacing after several years. Regular checkups help us keep them fitting well.

Sometimes. If your current denture fits well, implants can occasionally be added to it. Dr. Barnes will check whether that’s possible.
