Whether you just moved to Mustang, are looking for a new dentist or haven’t been to one in a while, we’re glad you found us. Buffalo Creek Dental is a general dental practice led by Dr. Jon Barnes, caring for kids, adults and seniors from Mustang, Yukon, Tuttle and southwest Oklahoma City.

Your first visit is about getting to know you, finding out how your teeth and gums are doing, and answering your questions. There’s no pressure and no judgment, just clear information so you can decide what’s next.

What the new patient offer covers

  • Comprehensive exam by Dr. Barnes: teeth, gums, bite and an oral cancer screening
  • X-rays needed to diagnose what we can't see
  • Prophy (regular cleaning) by a hygienist, when there is no periodontal disease

If periodontal disease is present, it’s $69 for the exam and X-rays, and the patient pays separately for the necessary cleaning. A deeper cleaning treats infection below the gumline, so it’s planned separately. See Gum Disease Treatment.

Your first visit, step by step

  1. Book. Schedule online any time or call our team.
  2. Paperwork. When you book, our team will let you know how to complete your new patient forms.
  3. Meet the team. We’ll review your health history and ask about your goals and any worries.
  4. X-rays and exam. Dr. Barnes takes the X-rays you need and checks your whole mouth.
  5. Cleaning. If your gums are healthy, your hygienist cleans and polishes your teeth at the same visit.
  6. Your plan. You’ll leave knowing what’s healthy, what (if anything) needs attention, and what it costs.

What to bring

  • Photo ID and insurance card (if you have dental insurance)
  • A list of your medications
  • Recent X-rays from a previous dentist, if you have them
  • Questions! We love them.
