Dr. Jon Barnes enjoys cosmetic dentistry, and he starts by listening. What do you like about your smile, and what would you change? Then he checks your teeth, gums and bite so any cosmetic work also fits a healthy mouth. Some people need just one thing, like whitening. Others combine a few, such as straightening first, then whitening, then a veneer for a chipped tooth.

Costs vary by treatment, so you’ll get a written estimate before you decide. Dental insurance usually doesn’t pay for treatment that’s purely cosmetic. Treatments that also repair damage, like crowns or fillings, may be partly covered, and we’ll check your benefits and file claims for you.

The goal is a natural look. Shade, shape and size are chosen to suit your face, and you’ll see and approve the plan before anything begins.
Usually not when it’s purely cosmetic. Treatments that also repair damage may be partly covered. We’ll check your benefits before treatment.
No. Whitening only works on natural teeth, so we usually whiten first and then match new restorations to your new shade.
It depends on the problem. Invisalign moves your own teeth into a better position. Veneers change the shape and color of the front of the teeth. Dr. Barnes will show you what each one can and can’t do for your smile.
It depends on the treatment and how many teeth are involved, so you’ll get a written estimate before you decide. Current offers include $749 for one crown or veneer (single unit). Additional units are at our regular fee. Limit one unit per patient. Cash price only, not eligible with insurance participation. Excludes gold, full gold and high noble crowns. See Specials.
It depends on the plan. Whitening and bonding can be quick, porcelain veneers usually take two main visits, and Invisalign takes months. Dr. Barnes will give you a timeline at your consultation.

Often, yes. A small chip may be repaired with tooth-colored bonding, and a larger break may need a veneer or crown. Dr. Barnes will show you the options for that one tooth.
Most cosmetic treatment is for teens and adults whose teeth have finished developing. Invisalign can be an option for teens. For younger children, see children’s dentistry.
